VM1 (“we”, “us”) is operated by Nimit Bhargava from Bengaluru, India. This policy explains what we collect when you use www.vm1.live, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4): approximate region derived from your IP, browser, referrer, pages viewed, session duration. Processed by Google under their terms.
- Product analytics and session recordings (Microsoft Clarity): mouse movement, clicks, scrolls, and anonymized screen recordings. Processed by Microsoft under their terms.
- Local preferences: the current chart, current track, volume, and whether you have seen the welcome dialog are stored in your browser’s
localStorage. This data stays on your device, and we do not receive it. - YouTube embeds: playback is served by youtube.com. Google/YouTube may set cookies and collect data under their own policies. We do not control that.
2. What we don’t collect
- No accounts, no sign-in, no profile.
- No payments, no billing information.
- No IP addresses stored on our own servers.
3. Legal basis (GDPR, UK GDPR, DPDP, CCPA)
- Analytics and session recordings: your consent. If you are visiting from the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, or India, we ask you to accept or reject before these scripts load. Visitors elsewhere are treated as having consented by default; you can still clear your browser data to opt out.
- Local preferences: legitimate interest in making the app usable.
4. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent or object to processing.
To exercise any of these, email nimitbhargava@gmail.com. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing the vm1_cookie_consent entry in your browser’s localStorage; the banner will reappear on your next visit.
California residents (CCPA): we do not sell personal information. Clarity and Google Analytics receive usage data as service providers, not as a sale.
5. Third parties
- Google: Google Analytics, YouTube embeds
- Microsoft: Clarity analytics and session recording
- Vercel: hosting; processes IP for CDN and security
6. Data retention
- Google Analytics: default 14 months.
- Microsoft Clarity: approximately 1 year.
- localStorage: until you clear it.
7. Children
VM1 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the site, contact us and we will address it.
8. Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be surfaced on the site.
